Hangluo, Suzhou satin and Yunjin are three famous silk products in East China. Hangluo, originally from Hangzhou, is made of pure mulberry silk with plain weave and leno. Its silk surface has equidistant straight or horizontal bar shaped yarn holes with clear holes and smooth texture. This kind of fabric is comfortable and cool, durable and washable. It is often used as curtain, summer shirt and casual clothes.

Hangluo has a long history. It was recorded in the local chronicles of Song Dynasty, and became a famous Silk Variety in Hangzhou in Qing Dynasty. The looms of hangluo have undergone several changes, but a large number of fine and meticulous handicrafts are still kept in the production process, and the requirements for the skills of the producers are very high. After the raw silk enters the factory, it must be strictly inspected and screened, and then it can be woven on the machine after going through a series of processes, such as soaking, drying, twisting, warping and winding. The rough fabric needs to be refined and dyed to become a fine hangluo.

Due to the complexity of the craft, the hangluo calendar has not been handed down to many people. Since the 20th century, under the strong impact of chemical fiber fabrics, traditional silk production has been difficult, especially in Hangzhou and Luoyang. At present, only Fuxing silk factory produces hangluo. The factory director was born in hangluo family and directly inherited hangluo's weaving skills. The hangluo calendar produced by Fuxing factory is distributed by time-honored brands such as "Ruixiang" in Beijing and "qiantaixiang" in Suzhou, which is very popular with consumers at home and abroad. Now the hangluo production of the plant is facing many difficulties, and it is urgent to rescue and protect.
