Brief introduction of Dengcai (Dongguan QIANJIAO lamp)
Applicant: Dongguan City, Guangdong Province
QIANJIAO lamp is a treasure of folk arts and crafts in Dongguan, Guangdong, which was originally unique to Zhao family in Dongguan. The Zhao family in Dongguan is a descendant of the imperial family of the Song Dynasty. It is said that in the early Yuan Dynasty, the Zhao family began to make QIANJIAO lanterns with 24 light belts. Qianjiaodeng was made once every ten years. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was exhibited in pufanzong (the ancestral hall of Zhao in jieyuanfang). Although the lanterns were made again and again, the lanterns were still of Song Dynasty. They were collected by the Zhao family and destroyed in the 1960s.
The production of QIANJIAO lamp was interrupted for 40 years and then revived. Now the main inheritors took time to make QIANJIAO lamp with the support of Guancheng district government. But after all, they are very old, and there is no successor. Therefore, it is urgent to inherit the production technology of QIANJIAO lamp.
