Hand blocking gate is a kind of boxing in traditional Wushu, which is mainly spread in Tianjin.
According to legend, in the early Qing Dynasty, Zheng Haining, a Ming general who was exiled in Tianjin, preached "blocking the way boxing" at Tianfei temple in Dazhigu, Hedong. Later, Zheng Tianxing, a Henan native, preached "practicing hand boxing". After receiving the biography, Li Jingang and others continued to study and invent hand blocking boxing and flip boxing. Liu Changhai, Chen Lianfang and others spread to the sixth generation. On the basis of "Cao Quan", "Lan Shou Quan" and "fan Quan", he created the gun Quan with the purpose of transforming the fierce into the quick and fast attack, forming four sets of "Cao Quan", "Lan Quan", "fan Quan" and "gun Quan". Professor Liu Wanfu, the seventh generation successor, once won the honor of "new China Sports pioneer". When he was teaching in Tianjin Institute of physical education, he extracted the practical technique "36 moves" from four sets of mother boxing as the popular teaching material of hand blocking boxing.
Up to now, there are practitioners in every district and county of Tianjin, most of them are in Hedong District, and their successors have been distributed to more than 20 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China.
The basic skills include: childlike skill, concentrating Qigong, Dan Dao breathing skill, shaking pole, grasping jar, twisting stick, running board, squatting pit, driving stake, rubbing sand and thirteen Taibao.
The core of hand blocking is blocking, and the techniques include wrapping, collapsing, pressing, shaking, chopping, blocking, poking, holding and tearing; the leg techniques include advancing, withdrawing, flashing, sliding, inserting and pulling. The method of play is to intercept, receive and hit, touch hands and send quickly, change the speed with ferocity, advance fast and strike quickly, and control the stillness with speed.
The weapons used in the practice are: big gun, flower spear, spring and autumn sword, simple sword, convenient shovel, stick, single sword, double sword, single sword, double sword, short stick, big and small Shaozi, meteor hammer, head flicking finger and thirteen tiger tail whip.
