Introduction to Zhuizi Opera:
Applicant: Suzhou City, Anhui Province
Chuizi opera originated from the folk art chuizi in the form of rap. It is named after the main accompaniment instrument of "chuizi string" (now called "Chuihu"), which is widely spread in Henan, Hebei, Anhui, Shanxi, Beijing and other places. Zhuizi opera is formed by the combination of Quyi Daoqing, Yingge Liushu, Sanxian Shu and Zhuizi Shu, which are popular in Henan, Hebei and Northern Anhui. Zhuizi opera is based on Henan Zhuizi melody, absorbing some performance methods of Beijing Opera and Henan opera, and finally forming a unique local opera.
Chuizi opera's traditional music singing includes "guoban", "Yinzi", "pingqiang", "xiaohanyun", "wuzijian", "shiziyun" and "kuaibanza". It can be performed by single singing, counterpart singing and multi person singing. Its style is smooth and tactful, and its words and sentences are easy to understand. It is very popular among the audience. Chuihu, also known as "Chuihu", is a stringed instrument reformed from a small three stringed instrument. When playing, it often uses techniques such as dunkui and gliding, with melodious timbre and rich expressive force. In addition, chuizi opera has erhu, Erxian, flute, Sheng, suona, Cello and other accompaniment instruments.
Zhuizi opera is an influential traditional opera, which has a certain reference value in the study of folk art, local history and culture, and should be valued and protected.
