Renzhuang fan drum Nuo opera is an ancient sacrificial drama performed by Renzhuang villagers in Quwo County of Shanxi Province in the middle of the spring every year.

According to textual research, Renzhuang fan drum Nuo opera was formed in the Tang and Song dynasties. Every place where there is a society in Quwo has an altar. If there is a altar, it must be sacrificed and Nuo opera must be performed. In 1986, Xu Wenbing's handwritten copy of Fangu Shenpu, discovered in 1909, the first year of Xuantong, recorded the singing content of Nuo opera in detail, which has important historical value. The scientific rescue, protection, excavation and arrangement of Renzhuang fan drum Nuo opera can not only explore the historical essence of the original Nuo ceremony, reflect the strong desire of the ancestors to seek good fortune and avoid evil, and pursue happiness, but also benefit the research of the ancient Nuo culture of the Chinese nation, which is also of great significance to enrich the local people's cultural life.
