Brief introduction of Huadeng Opera
Applicant: Midu County
Huadeng opera is the main local opera in Guizhou and Yunnan. It originated from folk song and dance of Huadeng. It developed into a local opera in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. In the process of popularity, it was influenced by local dialects, folk songs and customs and formed a variety of different singing and performance styles. During the performance of the lantern show, the performers keep their hands on the fans and handkerchiefs, singing and dancing, and singing and acting are closely combined.
Guizhou Huadeng opera is mainly popular in Dushan, Zunyi, Bijie, Anshun, Tongren and other places with different names. It is called "Dengjia opera" in northern and Western Guizhou, taideng opera in Dushan, Gaotai opera or Huadeng opera in Sinan and Yinjiang. Among them, Dushan Huadeng opera has more than 140 kinds of performances, including 85 kinds of early tiaogong operas such as Jinling Ji and python Ji, 27 kinds of transplanted operas such as jimeian, and 27 kinds of newly created operas such as Qimei and Shelang.
There are three branches of Yunnan Huadeng Opera: Kunming Huadeng opera, Yuxi Huadeng opera and Yao'an Huadeng opera. In addition, there are many small branches. Wenshan, Qujing, Chuxiong, Midu, Luoping, Yuanmou, Lufeng, Jianshui and Mengzi all have their own Huadeng opera. At first, Yunnan Huadeng opera performed small Huadeng operas with heavy singing and dancing elements. Later, under the influence of Yunnan opera and other operas, more complicated plots appeared. At the same time, it absorbed the tunes of other operas to change, expand and renovate, forming a new tune of Huadeng opera.
The most prosperous period of Yunnan Huadeng opera was in the 1950s and 1960s, when many famous Huadeng opera actors such as Shi Baofeng, Xiong Jiechen and Yuan Liuan emerged, as well as a number of well-known operas such as Tan Ganmei, Naodu, Liu Cheng watching vegetables and three visits to relatives.
