Liaoning is the main popular area of Pingju, and Jin Kaifang is one of the founders of Chinese Pingju. In 1915, he participated in the first Pingju Troupe "jingshixi society" established by Cheng Zhaocai and others. In 1919, he participated in the creation of Pingju "Yang Sanjie complains" and premiered "Yang Sanjie", successfully leading a revolution in modern Pingju. Since then, he has starred in nearly a hundred plays, including more than 40 premieres. In 1948, he went to Shenyang with the Northeast Cultural Association to receive "Daguan tea garden", and established the first state-owned Drama Troupe "Tangshan (Shenyang) Pingju theater" in New China as vice president. After 1956, he was engaged in drama education, and served as vice president and honorary president of Liaoning drama school.

In the difficult process of establishing Chinese Pingju, Jin Kaifang experienced the whole process of the creation, development, growth and prosperity of this kind of drama. He is a typical representative of the founders who have retained the repertoire performance, singing music and many inheritors. He is proficient in his profession and diligent in his career. In his artistic career, he has created a novel and unique "pimple tune", a vivid "skilful head", a clean "mouth skill", and a distinctive "local voice". His performing art is unique and unique.
