Introduction to Beilu Bangzi

Beilu Bangzi is shanglutiao which is differentiated from Shanshan Bangzi, also known as beilutiao or Beilu opera. It was officially named Beilu Bangzi in 1954. It is widely distributed in northern Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Northwest Hebei and parts of Shaanxi Province.

Beilu Bangzi yunzhoudao (Dabei Road) is one of the most influential schools in Beilu Bangzi opera. It is widely spread and has formed frontier characteristics different from other schools in singing, music, performance and repertoire. The performances of "Dabei road" include not only excellent operas shared by Bangzi opera, but also characteristic operas reflecting local historical stories, such as "walking in the snow mountain", in which "walking in the snow" has a lasting influence in Liubu area.

Beilu Bangzi Yunzhou Road (Dabei Road) is very popular among the local people and plays a leading role in the prosperity of local opera. At the same time, it plays an important role in the perfection and development of Banzi opera, and is of great value to the study of the development history of Bangzi opera.
