Cedar International Trust, formerly known as Jiangxi International Trust and investment company, was established in June 1981. It is a non bank financial institution approved by China Banking Regulatory Commission.

In April 2019, cedar holdings became the new controlling shareholder of the company. In June 2019, the company officially changed its name to cedar International Trust Co., Ltd., entering a new period of strategic development.

In June 1981, with the approval of Jiangxi Provincial People's government, Jiangxi International Trust and investment company was established in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.

In April 2003, Jiangxi International Trust and investment company, Jiangxi development trust and Investment Co., Ltd. and Jiangxi Ganzhou regional trust and Investment Company re registered and established Jiangxi International Trust and Investment Co., Ltd. With a registered capital of 300 million yuan, including 15 million US dollars in foreign exchange, it has become the only local financial institution operating trust business in Jiangxi Province.

In March 2009, the name of the company was changed to Jiangxi International Trust Co., Ltd.

In October 2012, the name of the company was changed to Zhongjiang International Trust Co., Ltd.

In June 2016, the registered capital of the company increased to RMB 3.005 billion.

In November 2018, with the approval of CIRC, Cedrus holdings acquired 71.3005% of the company's equity.

In April 2019, cedar holdings became the new controlling shareholder of the company.

In June 2019, the name of the company was changed to cedar International Trust Co., Ltd., entering a new period of strategic development.
