BNP Paribas (China) Limited
BNP Paribas (China) Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas. Its predecessor was the "Bank of Paris in Shanghai" jointly established by industrial and Commercial Bank of China and BNP in 1992. In 2003, it was transformed into a wholly-owned bank. The registered capital is 600 million yuan. the first batch of foreign banks approved to operate RMB business in 1997. The bank has now been allowed to provide a full range of foreign exchange business to all kinds of customers and to operate all RMB business except for Chinese residents. Banks are also allowed to operate derivatives business and provide online banking services. Since 1996, he has been elected as the director bank and supervisor Bank of the trade union of the Bank of Shanghai. The first office was set up in Suzhou in 1996.
