Yueyang street belongs to Songjiang District of Shanghai. It is located in the southwest of Shanghai and the middle of Songjiang District. It is about 40 km away from the center of Shanghai. The central geographic coordinates are 121 ° 14 ′ E and 31 ° n. Tongbotang in the East, adjacent to Zhongshan street; Shanghai Hangzhou railway in the South; shenjingtang and huangqiang port in the west, adjacent to Yongfeng street; Shanghai Kunming Expressway in the north. On the first day of September in the third year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty (October 22, 1911), Hualou autonomous office was set up in yangjiaqiao fangzhengxue Temple (West of the second administrative office center of the district).
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Songjiang Prefecture was abolished and Huating city was set up.
In 1929, the city was withdrawn, and Chengxiang was the first district of 16 districts in Songjiang County. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in August 1945, a government office was set up in the urban area. The district (now Yueyang Street Administrative Region) is under the jurisdiction of the city office.
In May 1947, the district level system was abolished. Two towns, Zhongshan and Yonghe, were set up in the urban area. It spans Zhongshan and Yonghe towns.
Songjiang was liberated on May 13, 1949. In May, Songjiang city was set up, directly under the Songjiang Commissioner's office of Southern Jiangsu Administration, with four towns of Yueyang, Huayang, Zhongshan and Yongfeng under its jurisdiction. On August 1, Songjiang city was changed into a city under the jurisdiction of Songjiang County. In November, the city's organizational system was abolished and changed into an urban area, with Zhongshan, Yueyang and Yongfeng towns under its jurisdiction.
In March 1956, Zhongshan, Yueyang and Yongfeng towns were abolished, and Yueyang and Yongfeng sub district offices were established, with jurisdiction over 21 sub district committee districts.
In March 1958, the area was changed into Suzhou District along with the county. In November, it was transferred to Shanghai along with the county.
In June 1963, Songjiang city was abolished and Chengxiang town was established as a county town. It is under the jurisdiction of Chengxiang town.
In March 1970, Yueyang and Yongfeng streets were established. The site spans Yueyang and Yongfeng streets.
In June 1978, Yueyang and Yongfeng streets were abolished and divided into Zhongshan, Yueyang and Yongfeng streets. The district has 14 communities including Xiudong.
In December 1980, Chengxiang town was abolished and Songjiang town was established. The place is under the jurisdiction of Songjiang town.
On January 1, 1984, eight production teams of Guangming, nongyi and Rongle production teams of WULITANG commune were assigned to Songjiang town to form Ledu road production team, which was later changed to Ledu road village.
On June 30, 1998, the three streets of Yueyang, Zhongshan and Yongfeng in Songjiang town were abolished.
In January 2001, the administrative system of Songjiang town was abolished and Yueyang street was established. Yueyang Street governs 34 community districts including tongbotang in the East, Shanghai Hangzhou railway in the south, shenjingtang in the West and Shanghai Kunming Expressway in the north.
In September 2002, due to the land acquisition in Songjiang City, the administrative system of ledulu village and its eight production teams was abolished.
At the end of 2008, due to the merger or new construction of community districts, there were 26 community districts in the whole street.
