Zhoupu town
Zhoupu Town, subordinate to Pudong New Area of Shanghai, is located in the west of Pudong New Area and on the East Bank of Huangpu River. It is the center of navigation canal network. It is connected with qintang inside and Huangpu River outside. It is the first circle to undertake industrial diffusion in the urban area. Eighteen towns in Pudong, "Zhoupu first town", is "Shanghai first class health town" and "Shanghai community education demonstration town". Zhou Pu town has an area of 42.23 square kilometers. History of construction
Zhoupu is named after its surrounding rivers, which are also named DuPu, Lixi and qijiacun. The name of Zhoupu was first found in yunjianzhi, which was written in the fourth year of Shaoxi (1193) of the Southern Song Dynasty. The county map of Shanghai annals, which was written in the Hongzhi period of Ming Dynasty (1488-1505), is marked with "Zhoupu town". The territory was originally a part of the East China Sea, and became a land successively from west to east from the northern and Southern Dynasties to the early Tang Dynasty. At first, it belonged to Kunshan county. Tang Tianbao ten years (751) began, under the Huating county. In the second year of Shaoxing (1132) of the Song Dynasty, Zhoupu was the key place of the pass and set up the inspection department. In 1292, it belonged to Shanghai county. In 1726, it belonged to Nanhui County. from 1912 to 1914, Zhoupu was established as a city. When local autonomy was implemented, Zhoupu set up a "Municipal Council". In 1927, Zhoupu Administrative Bureau was set up. In May 1949, after liberation, Zhoupu was once established. In August 1951, Zhoupu was established as a city. After November, it was changed into Zhoupu Town, a town directly under the county. In 1959, Zhoupu set up a commune. In 1984, Zhoupu set up a township. In 1995, Zhoupu set up a town. In 1997, it governed 11 villages and 16 communities including Wuqiao, Yaoqiao, niuqiao, Yutan, Tangdong, Meilin, Zhoudong, Zhounan, Shenxi, hengqiao and Liren. In May 2000, Wuqiao village was merged into Zhoudong village. The town has 10 villages and 113 villager groups. In August of the same year, the town's 18 streets were divided into 6 streets, namely Zhongshi, Xiangyang, ad, Zhoudong, Dongnan and Lixi, with 412 communities under its jurisdiction. By the end of 2001, Zhoupu town was bounded by WACI town in the East, Xiasha town in the south, Pujiang town in Minhang District in the West and Kangqiao town in the north, with jurisdiction over 6 communities, 10 administrative villages, 113 villager groups and 412 resident groups. In 2002, WACI town was merged into Zhoupu town.

Nanhui County can be divided into five areas: old coastal plain area, early coastal plain area, middle coastal plain area, new coastal plain area and tidal flat area. Zhoupu town is located in the old coastal plain, with a low terrain and a ground elevation of about 4 meters above Wusong zero. There is no mountain in the territory, the terrain is flat, slightly inclined from south to north.
