As of June 2020, Xueyuan South Road has jurisdiction over 11 communities, and the sub district office is located in xindonglou community.

In 1980, xixincun Street set up Xueyuan South Road Street, belonging to Lubei District.

In 1984, Guilu south district was designated as Zhaozhuang street.

In May 1986, it was renamed Xueyuan South Road street.
