Dongwangpo Township, belonging to Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the northeast of Pingshan County, bordering Lingshou County in the East and North, Nandian town in the South and Sujiazhuang Township in the west, with an administrative area of 129.8 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 24223 households registered residence in East Wang Po township.
In 1937, it was liberated; in 1986, it merged with wangchenzhuang commune and established dongwangpo township. As of June 2020, dongwangpo township has 35 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the Township People's government is located in dongwangpo village.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of dongwangpo township was 2.36 million yuan, an increase of 148% over the previous year. The local tax revenue was 2.2 million yuan and the national tax revenue was 160000 yuan. In 1937, it was liberated.
In 1938, Wangpo township was established.
In 1958, it belonged to Nandian commune and was the administrative area of Wangpo.
In 1961, Nandian commune was abolished and dongwangpo commune was established.
In 1986, it merged with wangchenzhuang commune and established dongwangpo township.
