Shuangyang street belongs to aiyuli, Yuquan Township, Jinjiang County, Quanzhou Prefecture in ancient times. Shuangyang street is located in the north of Licheng of Jinjiang county and the south of Luojiang District of Quanzhou City. It is connected with huangtang town of Hui'an County in the East, Chengdong town of Jinjiang county (Wan'an Street) in the southeast, Beifeng street and Qingyuan street of Jinjiang county (Fengze District) in the southwest, Fengzhou town of Nan'an City in the northwest and Heshi town of Jinjiang county (Luojiang District) in the north.

Shuangyang street is located in the north of Qingyuan mountain, a famous scenic spot. Transportation: Shuangyang street is located in the middle of Luojiang District, 4km away from National Highway 324, 5km away from Xifu entrance of Fuzhou Xiamen expressway, and only 7km away from central urban area through pengshanling tunnel. Provincial Highway 307 and Wanhong highway, the main traffic road of Luojiang District, cross the territory. The Fuxia high-speed railway under construction, the planned Quansan Expressway (Nanhui branch line) and the first ring road of Quanzhou city all pass through Shuangyang City, so the traffic is very convenient. It is adjacent to Wan'an street of Luojiang in the East, 6km away from the Bank of Luoyang River; Fengzhou town of Nan'an City in the west, 6km away from pengshanling tunnel in the south, 8km away from the center of Quanzhou City and 3km away from Heshi town in the north. Historical evolution

In January 1951, Quanzhou City at county level was established in Chengguan District (Licheng town), Fuqiao district and Wanggong district (Chengxiang town) of Jinjiang county,

On April 17, 1951, the people's Government of Jinjiang County moved from Chengguan District (Licheng town) of Jinjiang county to Qingyang Town (now Qingyang Street).

In September 1958, Linhai Township, Dongxing Township and Shixia township (now Fengze District) were under the jurisdiction of Quanzhou City.

In 1960, the state-owned Shuangyang overseas Chinese farm in Jinjiang county was established under the direct jurisdiction of the Provincial Overseas Chinese office. It mainly undertakes the political task of receiving and resettling the returned overseas Chinese from Indonesia and Vietnam.

In January 1971, Luoxi commune, Majia commune and Heshi commune in Jinjiang county and Shuangyang farm in Jinjiang county were under the jurisdiction of Quanzhou City. The former core group of Shuangyang farm reform committee in Jinjiang County of CPC was changed into the core group of Shuangyang overseas Chinese farm reform committee in Quanzhou City of CPC.

In April 1981, Shuangyang overseas Chinese farm reform committee was changed to Shuangyang overseas Chinese farm.

In December 1985, due to the reform of political system, Jinjiang area was changed into prefecture level Quanzhou City, and county-level Quanzhou City was changed into Licheng District of Quanzhou City. The name of Shuangyang overseas Chinese Farm Committee of Quanzhou City of the Communist Party of China remained unchanged because it was managed by Fujian Overseas Chinese office.

In December 1987, Shishi Town, Yongning Town, Hanjiang town and Xiangzhi township of Jinjiang county were analyzed as county-level Shishi City.

In March 1997, the authority of overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Fujian Province was decentralized, and Shuangyang overseas Chinese farm was transferred to Licheng District of Quanzhou City.

In August 1997, the administrative division was adjusted and Shuangyang overseas Chinese farm was managed by Luojiang District of Quanzhou City.

In April 1998, Shuangyang overseas Chinese farm implemented the leadership system reform and established Shuangyang Town, Luojiang District, Quanzhou City. It has jurisdiction over four neighborhood committees, namely Nanshan, Pingshan, Yangjiang and Yangshan, and seven village committees, namely Chaoyang, Xinyang, Xinnan, Xinfeng, Xinling, Qianyang and Qiandai. The administrative functions originally undertaken by the farm are assigned to the town. As a town owned enterprise, Quanzhou Shuangyang overseas Chinese farm keeps its brand and adds the brand of Shuangyang overseas Chinese economic development zone to enjoy the preferential treatment of provincial economic development zone.

In August 2005, the district Party committee abolished the CPC Committee of Shuangyang Town, Luojiang District, Quanzhou City and the CPC Discipline Inspection Committee of Shuangyang Town, Luojiang District, Quanzhou City, and established the CPC Committee of Shuangyang street, Luojiang District, Quanzhou City and the CPC Committee of Shuangyang street, Luojiang District, Quanzhou City.

In September 2005, the "town to street" and "village to community" were implemented. Shuangyang Town was abolished and Shuangyang street was established. Shuangyang has become an important part of Quanzhou urban planning area and Luojiang central urban area.
