Weihe Forestry Bureau, founded in 1950, is a national large-scale class II forest industry enterprise, subordinate to Songhuajiang Forestry Administration of Heilongjiang Forest Industry Bureau. It is located at the West foot of zhangguangcailing in Changbai Mountains, adjacent to Yabuli and Dahailin Forestry Bureau in the East, shanhetun Forestry Bureau in the west, Dahailin and shanhetun Forestry Bureau in the south, and Yuanbao town in Shangzhi in the north. Most of the construction areas are in Shangzhi City, and only a small part in Wuchang City. Binsui railway and Suiman high-grade highway pass through the Bureau, which is located in Yili, Weihe Town, Shangzhi City.

The construction area of Weihe Forestry Bureau covers 206807 hectares and 191417 hectares, including 24118 hectares in Wuchang City. At the end of 2009, there were 15742 employees living in the forest area, with a forest population of 41500 and 7767 employees in the enterprise.
