Hongkeli Town, belonging to Yilan County, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the northeast of Yilan County, on the South Bank of Songhua River. It is adjacent to Dalai town of Jiamusi City in the East, Yugong Township in the south, Yilan town in the West and Zhulian township of Tangyuan County across the river in the north. In 2018, the area of Hong Keli town was 401.03 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 24701.

Historical evolution

In March 1956, hongkeli township was established.
In October 1958, it was changed into Hongda commune.
In 1960, it was renamed hongkeli commune.
In April 1984, the commune was transformed into a township, and then the township into a town.
