Located in the south of Xiangfang City, it is located in the junction of urban and rural areas. It extends to Xusheng South Street in the East, the wall of Harbin University of technology and the west side of sijifangzhou community in the west, Harbin vocational and technical college in the South and Majiagou River in the north. It covers an area of 15 square kilometers. Population 37132 (2010). It governs four communities. The office is located at 151-6 haping road. The main streets are haping Road, Sanhe Road, Yulin street, etc. Scenic spots include Heilongjiang Forest Botanical Garden, etc.

Historical evolution

In 1955, the third northeast construction engineering company came to Kazakhstan to take part in the construction, moved here to settle down, and built some bungalow family dormitory, commonly known as "small bungalow". All the residents were construction workers, so the name of the construction sub district office came from it. Qianjin sub district office was set up in 1956 and changed into a construction branch in 1960. In 1968, it was incorporated into haping commune, and in 1971, it was rezoned as construction commune. In January 1980, it was changed into a street office. In 2006, the original power district was put under the jurisdiction of Xiangfang District.
