History of construction

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the Second District of Yongji County. In 1942, it belonged to Zhicheng town of Baishan District, Jilin City. In the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945), it belonged to Zhicheng Lianbao, Huangshan District, Jilin City. In March 1948, it belonged to xituanzi village.

In 1950, xituanzi village and xinanyao village were merged into huangqitun street.

In 1958, it belonged to Dongfeng management area.

In 1958, it belonged to Jixing management area.

In 1959, it was transferred to Baishan commune.

In 1963, it was assigned to Chuanying District of Jilin City and set up huangqitun street.

In 1966, huangqitun street was merged into Changchun Road street.

In April 1979, Changchun Road street was divided into huangqitun street.

In 2005, huangqitun street was renamed Huangqi street.
