Houxinqiu town

Houxinqiu Town, subordinate to Zhangwu County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northeast of Zhangwu County, adjacent to Weizigou Township in the south, Dade Township and Xinglongbao Township in the west, Horqin Left wing rear banner of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the north, and shajintai township of Kangping County in Shenyang City in the northeast. The total area of the new town is 182 square kilometers, and the registered residence population in late autumn is 20239 at the end of 2018.

During the period of Japanese puppet rule, it belonged to the puppet dongkeqian banner office. In April 1949, dongkeqian banner was changed into the Ninth District of Zhangwu County. In 1956, it was changed into Houxinqiu district and Houxinqiu township. In 1958, Xinqiu commune was reformed. In 1984, Xinqiu township was rebuilt. In December 1985, Xinqiu township was changed from township to town. As of June 2020, houxinqiu town has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Paradise Village.

In 2011, the general budget revenue of houxinqiu town was 8 million yuan, and the tax revenue was 16 million yuan. In 2018, there were 44 industrial enterprises in Houxinqiu Town, including 4 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 115 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History and culture

The origin of place names

During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1735-1795), all the Mongolians lived here, so it was named "houxinqiu" (Mongolian, meaning Xincun).
