Gangdu Street

Gangdu street, belonging to Dashiqiao City, Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, is located in the east of Dashiqiao City, adjacent to Yong'an town in the south, Shiqiao street in the West and Qinghua street in the north, with a total area of 38.64 square kilometers.

In April 1946, Yingkou county was established and put under the jurisdiction of Yingkou County; in May 1997, Gangdu town was changed into Gangdu street, still belonging to Dashiqiao City. At the end of 2011, the total population of Gangdu street was 82800. As of June 2020, Gangdu street has jurisdiction over 12 communities and 8 administrative villages, and its sub district office is located at No. 48, Shiqiao street, Gangdu village.

History of construction

In April 1946, Yingkou county was established and put under the jurisdiction of Yingkou county.

In December 1947, Dashiqiao town was established and put under the jurisdiction of Dashiqiao town.

In February 1954, Dashiqiao town was changed into Chengguan District, which belonged to Chengguan District.

In June 1955, Dashiqiao town was restored in Chengguan District.

In September 1958, Dashiqiao town was abolished and Dashiqiao commune was established.

In March 1960, Dashiqiao commune was divided into Dashiqiao town and Dashiqiao commune.

In February 1966, the six brigades of Gangdu, Heping, Tieling, Lianhe, Shengli and Jiefang, which belong to Dashiqiao Town, set up Gangdu commune.

In September 1983, the commune was changed into a township, and Gangdu Township still belongs to Yingkou county.

In November 1992, Yingkou county was abolished and Dashiqiao City was established.

In April 1993, the people's Government of Gangdu town moved from Gangdu village to Lianhe village.

In March 1996, Gangdu township was transformed into a town, and its subordinate relationship remained unchanged.

In May 1997, Gangdu town was changed into Gangdu street, still belonging to Dashiqiao City.
