Yanzhuang town

Yanzhuang town is located in the southwest of Jinghai County, Tianjin city, 20 kilometers away from the county. It borders Wangcun Town, Dacheng County, Hebei Province in the west, Ziya and Liangtou town in the north, Liuhe Town, Qingxian County, Hebei Province in the South and Zhaofu Town, Dacheng County in the south, and chenguantun town in the East. Gangtuan River and Heilonggang river run through the town, Chenda road runs through the East and west of the town, and Jinlai road runs through the north and south of the town. The total area of the town is 98.7 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 24 administrative villages. The resident population was 36191 (2017).

Historical evolution

As early as the Song Dynasty, the troops of the Yang family were stationed here, and there are ancient cities, yuanmenzhanzi (yuanmengkou), tanmazhuang (tanzhuangzi) and other sites, where people are outstanding. During the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the western area of Yanzhuang town belonged to Dacheng County, and the eastern area belonged to Jinghai County. Yanzhuang commune was established in July 1974. After the system reform in 1983, it was changed into Yanzhuang township. In August 2001, the county district was adjusted and dongtantou Township and Yanzhuang Township were merged to build Yanzhuang town.

Yanzhuang town is located in the west of guchengwa, on both sides of Ziya River and Heilonggang River, with 92511 mu of cultivated land and 3.1 mu of cultivated land per capita.

Industry

There are hardware processing and hoop manufacturing zone, sanchanfang non-ferrous metal processing zone, tableware manufacturing and metal casting processing zone in the south of Liuzhuang village, forming four pillar industries of hoop manufacturing, tableware manufacturing, food processing and non-ferrous metal processing. By the end of 2005, there were 161 individual and private industrial enterprises in the town, with fixed assets of 287.37 million yuan, industrial added value of 101.35 million yuan and profits of 61 million yuan.

Yanzhuang town was famous for its fireworks and firecrackers before 2002, and has a good reputation as the "hometown of firecrackers". Jinghai Yanzhuang firecrackers have a high reputation in the country. Because fireworks are abundant here, the products previously produced are sold all over the country. However, due to frequent explosion accidents in firecracker workshops, the safety of fireworks production has become the focus of attention. In 2002, Jinghai County government put forward the decision to ban the production of firecrackers.
