Kuandian Town, belonging to Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, is located in the middle of Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, bordering shihugou Township in the East, West and south, and dachuantou town in the north, with an area of 35.84 square kilometers.
In 1877, Kuandian County was established; in 1983, it was renamed Kuandian town; on September 7, 1989, it was subordinate to Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Kuandian town was 85657. As of June 2020, Kuandian town has 11 communities and 4 administrative villages.

History of construction
Kuandian County was set up in 1877.
In 1915, the county belonged to the central district.
After the fall of Northeast China, the Japanese puppet government set up Kuandian street.
In October 1945, after Kuandian was liberated, Chengguan District was set up.
In 1949, it was named Kuandian town.
In 1958, it was called Kuandian commune.
In 1983, it was renamed Kuandian town.
On September 7, 1989, it was subordinate to Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County.

History and culture
Kuandian town got its name because it was surrounded by mountains and KUANPING in the middle. Kuandiebao was built in the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573), and later it was interpreted as Kuandian until now.
