Dazheng town

Dazheng town is subordinate to Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the south of Liaodong Peninsula, on the shore of the Yellow Sea, 15 kilometers away from the west of Zhuanghe City, Dalian. It is adjacent to Changsheng street in the East, Guangmingshan town and Chengshan town in the north, Mingyang town in the West, and Yellow Sea in the south. It has the geographical advantage of "mountain in the north, sea in the south, and plain in the middle". With the expansion of Zhuanghe Town, Dazheng town has become the main town of Zhuanghe town suburb. Dazheng town covers a total area of 243 square kilometers, with 19 administrative villages, 223 residential groups and 55700 people (2017).

In October 2019, Dazheng town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

General situation of the town

Dazheng town is located in the west of Zhuanghe City, 15 kilometers away from Zhuanghe City. It is adjacent to Changsheng street in the East, Guangmingshan town and Chengshan town in the north, Mingyang street in the West and Yellow Sea in the south. The total land area is 243 square kilometers. The coastline is 26 kilometers long, with more than 5800 hectares of shellfish culture beach, 1300 hectares of harbor circle, 10000 hectares of shallow water surface, 50000 cubic meters of seedling breeding station and 3000 tons of cold storage. The government office building of Dazheng town is located in dazhengtun, so it is named Dazheng town. From October 25, 1946 to June 6, 1947, the Kuomintang troops occupied Zhuanghe and established Dazheng Township, with 13 administrative villages under their jurisdiction. In June 1947, Zhuanghe was liberated for the second time. Dazheng district was restored and the District Working Committee was established. In February 1948, after the land reform, Dazheng District Office was changed into Dazheng District People's government. In August 1948, Dazheng District Working Committee was abolished and Dazheng District Committee of Zhuanghe county was established. On April 8, 1956, Dazheng district was merged into the housing district of the financial owner. On May 6, 1958, Dazheng township was established. On September 6, 1958, Dazheng people's commune was established. In the cultural revolution, Dazheng people's commune was renamed Jianbing people's commune in the autumn of 1968, and it was restored at the end of 1969. On September 17, 1983, Dazheng people's commune was transformed into Dazheng township. On October 16, 1984, Dazheng township was changed into Dazheng town.
