Jiefang Road in Hangzhou is one of the main commercial streets in Hangzhou. It starts from Xihu tunnel in the West and ends at Qianjiang New Town in the East. In the long-term plan, the river crossing tunnel will extend to Xiaoshan District, with a total length of 6000 meters. It is divided into three sections: Fanglu, Xincheng tunnel and Jiefang East Road. The old Jiefang Road, from jinyazhuang to Hubin, was originally divided into eight sections, namely: yingzimen street, jingtingqiao street, naoshikou street, guanxiangkou street and taipingfang Main street, Zhongzheng street, guanqiaozhi street, Xinmin Road. In 2004, the new town tunnel extended to Qianjiang New Town, and the original tea factory south road was merged.

history

Jiefang Road starts from jinyazhuang of Huancheng East Road in the East and connects Nanshan Road in the West. From the east to the west, it was called fenglefang, yihefang, shouanfang and ganquanfang in Song Dynasty. Jinyazhuang, Zhenzhu lane, Kui lane, hengdafangbo, Guanxiang, yingzimen street, Jingting street and YuanHou street in Qing Dynasty. Housan street is located in the Qingqi camp, which was called yingzi road in the Republic of China. The east of guanxiangkou to Kui lane is called Xinmin Road. In 1946, the two roads merged and renamed Zhongzheng street. In 1949, Hangzhou was liberated and renamed Jiefang Road. In 1959, it was demolished and merged into Zhenzhu lane and jinyazhuang and extended to Huancheng East Road. In 2004, a new metro tunnel was built, extending Jiefang Road to Qiantang River.
