Sayibage Township

Sayibage Township, belonging to Moyu County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Moyu county. It is adjacent to aksalayi Township and layika Township in Hotan County in the East, Kunlun Mountains in the south, DUWA town in Pishan County in the West and Zawa Township in the north, with an administrative area of 2226.5 square kilometers.

History of construction

Before the founding of the county in Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Takming, also known as yingaiming, and Zhili Prefecture.

From 1927 to 1944, it belonged to the eighth District of Moyu county;

After the founding of new China, it was the third district of Moyu County, under the jurisdiction of six townships, namely, kexiluoke, saibage, tuhaya, tuzakeqi, wujiate and Wuxun.

In 1958, the third district and the Fourth District merged to form the progressive commune.

In 1962, Qianjin commune was established in the third district.

In 1978, it was renamed saybag commune.

In 1984, sayibage township was rebuilt.
