Wuqia Town, under the jurisdiction of Wuqia County, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Wuqia County, bordering heiziwei Township in the East, South, West and North, with a total administrative area of 34.2 square kilometers.
In 1950, Wuqia town was called heiziwei township. In November 1984, Wuqia town was changed. By the end of 2011, the registered residence population in Wu Qi town was 12450. In 2019, Wuqia town governs five communities.

History of construction
In 1950, for a district of heiziwei township.
In 1958, heiziwei commune was rebuilt.
In 1968, it was renamed Dongfanghong commune.
