Shepherd sea Ranch

Shepherd sea ranch is located in the northeast of Hetao Plain, is located in the territory of Urad banner, belongs to Bayannaoer City Bureau of agricultural reclamation. The total controlled land area is 110000 mu, and the total population is 1170 (in 2010). It has four functional departments, five agricultural branches and one purified water plant. The fifth (original) - Hailiutu highway passes through 2km to the west of the site, with convenient transportation.

Farm overview

Yangsheehai ranch is close to Yinshan Mountain and the Yellow River in the south. It is a closed depression formed by accumulated water and silting. It is slightly lower in the middle and forms three Haizi (Dahan, yangsheen and Liu tiezi). Most of the rest have gentle terrain, small slope and simple landform, with an average altitude of 1022.2 meters. It is a typical temperate continental arid climate, with annual average temperature of 7 degrees, frost free period of 136.5 days, annual rainfall of 189mm and annual sunshine hours of 3036 hours.

Resource advantages

There are 12000 mu of cultivated land, 15000 mu of wasteland suitable for agriculture and grassland, and 54000 mu of natural grassland. The area of three Haizi is 38000 mu (including 33000 mu of reed field and 5000 mu of open water). The annual output of reed is 12000 tons. There are 800 employees and 100 million yuan of fixed assets. In 2005, the gross national product was 31.39 million yuan, and the net income per worker reached 4092 yuan. The main products of agriculture, animal husbandry, industry and aquaculture are: sunflower, corn, forage, reed, carp, crab, goat, sheep, beef cattle, cow, graphite, carbon, refractory, etc. Shepherd sea is rich in aquatic resources, commonly known as "iron rod" reed, the reed is very conducive to weaving high-grade crafts; high quality water, the most suitable for raising crabs, and grow fast, disease-free, wintering, delicious taste; beautiful shepherd sea natural lake, rippling waves, broad prospects for tourism development.
