Jinxing Township, Wencheng County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the north end of Wencheng County, bordering Qingtian County, covering an area of 24 square kilometers, including 1420 Mu paddy field, 1330 Mu dry land, 24420 Mu forest, and 0.51 Mu cultivated land per capita; the average altitude is 615 meters; it has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages and 39 natural villages, with a total of 1242 households and 5388 people in 2005; there are more than 700 overseas Chinese.

Economic situation

In 2004, there were more than 11300 live pigs, 4 households with more than 1000 pigs and 7 households with more than 500 pigs in the township, with a total of more than 6700 pigs. We vigorously guided farmers to plant Radix Pseudostellariae, Fritillariae, Atractylodes macrocephala, Rhizoma Corydalis, Platycodon grandiflorum and other traditional Chinese medicine, with a planting area of more than 860 Mu and an output value of more than 1 million yuan. We made great efforts to strengthen and expand the traditional Chinese medicine planting industry in the township, and implemented the strategy of "enriching the people with medicinal materials" The strategy of invigorating agriculture with medicinal materials and strengthening rural areas with medicinal materials. To develop and utilize barren mountain resources, 250 Mu barren mountain of jiaoshanping in Jiaoshan village will be implemented as a low yield forest transformation project, and a pollution-free medicine base of Interplanting woody and herbaceous plants will be built, which will increase farmers' per capita occupation of cultivated land, solve the employment of rural idle labor force, and broaden the channels of farmers' income.
