Taipingdi Town, belonging to Songshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Songshan District, on the North Bank of Laoha River, adjacent to Haladaokou town in the East, Yuanbaoshan District in the south, Anqing town in the West and Wengniute Banner in the north. The area is 316 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 46660 people registered residence.

In 1961, it was separated from anqinggou commune and restored to taipingdi commune. In 1984, it was changed into taipingdi Township, a suburb of Chifeng City. At the end of 2005, taipingdi, fengniuyingzi and Henan yingzi were merged into taipingdi town. In June 2020, taipingdi town governs 1 community and 21 administrative villages.

In 2018, taipingdi town had 6 industrial enterprises and 6 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 1945, it was the exclusive right banner of Wengniute in Rezhong, Rehe province.

In 1949, it belonged to Jianchangying district (Second District) of Chifeng county.

In 1956, it was divided into halamou and liufendi township.

In 1958, it belonged to Chifeng City. Halamuu and liufendi were merged into taipingdi Township, named after taipingdi village. Taipingdi commune was changed in the autumn of the same year.

In 1960, it was incorporated into anqinggou commune.

In 1961, it was separated from anqinggou commune and restored to taipingdi commune.

In 1962, it belongs to Chifeng county.

In 1968, taipingdi commune Revolutionary Committee was reformed.

In 1980, the commune management committee was restored.

In 1984, it was changed into taipingdi Township, a suburb of Chifeng City.

In 1993, it belongs to Songshan District.

At the end of 2005, taipingdi, fengniuyingzi and Henan yingzi were merged into taipingdi town.

Taipingdi town belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate, which is characterized by obvious monsoon and four distinct seasons: early dry and windy in spring; hot and rainy in summer, concentrated precipitation, frequent flood and hail disasters; short autumn, rapid temperature drop, large temperature difference between day and night; long and cold winter. The annual average temperature is 7 ℃, the extreme minimum temperature is - 27 ℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 35 ℃. The annual average frost free period is 150 days. The annual sunshine hours are 2980 hours. The annual average precipitation is 500mm, and the rainfall is concentrated from May to September, with the most in July. The annual average evaporation is 1250mm.

hydrology

There are two main rivers in taipingdi Town, of which Laoha river is 25 km long, which is from the human border of bataiyingzi village. Yangchang River, 17.5 km in length, enters Aobaotu. The two rivers meet at dongshanwan village and enter Hongshan reservoir area.
