Xinjie town

Xinjie town is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Dayao County, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. Located in the northwest of Dayao County, which is known as "the hometown of Walnut in China" and "a famous cultural nation", and in the middle of Dayao County to Chuxiong mining and metallurgy, it is an important part of Dayao administrative block.

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were eight temples and nine nunneries in Longshan, the most famous of which were Yifa temple, Yuansheng temple, Qianhua temple, Shilin temple, Yingxu temple and Futing temple. Shilin temple was built in the 23rd year of Kaiyuan (736 AD) of Tang Dynasty. It is said that Shilin temple is the central point for Yao Zhou to teach the three great precepts.

Located in the south of the county, 16 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 216.61 square kilometers and has a population of 27100 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, including Xinjie, Bimo, dagujie, Wafang, xiaogujie, Qianyu, xiajiaba, Tuanshan, Luchuan, banzhuqing and Daqiao. Agricultural products are rice, corn, wheat, broad beans, tobacco, rape. The town was rebuilt in 2013. it is located in the northwest of Dayao County, Yunnan Province, 17 km away from the county. There are 9 village committees and 112 villager groups under its jurisdiction. By the end of 2009, there were 6736 farmers in the town, with a total population of 27827, including 26037 agricultural population, with a natural population growth rate of 3.16 ‰. There are 14 ethnic minorities. The town covers an area of 216.61 square kilometers; the main crops are rice, wheat, corn, broad bean, potato and oil crops. The territory is rich in water resources. There are 6 small (1) reservoirs and 9 small (2) reservoirs. The power supply rate of the whole town and village groups is 100%, the popularization rate of fixed telephone is 80%, and the coverage rate of mobile communication is 99%. Since 2009, the town has implemented the transformation of medium and low yield fields, rural power grid transformation, housing project, poverty alleviation, one case one discussion, rural drinking water for people and livestock, and new rural construction. The infrastructure has been further consolidated, and the rural economy has achieved comprehensive and rapid development. The total value of industrial and agricultural production in the whole year is 178 million yuan, an increase of 11.28 million yuan or 6.8% compared with the previous year. The total grain output is 11.882 million kg, and the farmers have 456 kg of grain per capita; the farmers' per capita net income is 2053 yuan; the total financial income is 3.91 million yuan; the total income of township enterprises is 145.89 million yuan, the profit is 4.21 million yuan, and the tax is 1.44 million yuan. There was also a poem in the ancients that "Longshan, Zhongling, gold and copper stand together.". However, we have to listen to Zhong Yu, who produced "Yingqi" in the past dynasties. There are stone carvings at the back of Shilin temple in Longshan, with "Bola cliff" on the left and "Xianglin Yuzhu" on the right. It was inscribed by Ma siliang, Yao'an, Shaoxing Road, Zhejiang Province during the reign of Guangxu. Longshan has been devastated by wind and rain, and the temple has been seriously damaged. In August 2003, master Shi chuandu led monks to explore more than 280 talin cultures in the seven temples and two Nunneries of Longshan mountain from Gongju Shilin temple. He planted Bodhi and promoted Buddhism. The remaining temples are still majestic, green and quiet. They are tourist attractions and summer shelters.
