Yangjiang town

Yangjiang town belongs to Gaochun District of Nanjing city. It is located at the west end of Gaochun district. It gets its name because the water passes through Yangjiang River. Jinhu bridge across the Guanxi River, close to Chunxi street, west of Xuanzhou City and Dangtu County in Anhui Province, has unique location advantages.

Yangjiang town is known as the hometown of crabs in China, a town with beautiful environment in China, a famous clothing town in Jiangsu Province, a pilot town of administrative system reform in Jiangsu Province, and a street town with manufacturing characteristics in Nanjing. Location

Yangjiang town is located in the west of Gaochun District, Nanjing city. The town government is located in Cangxi community. It is adjacent to Chunxi street in the East, zhuanqiang town in the south, Xuancheng City and Dangtu County in Anhui Province in the West and North.

climate

Yangjiang town is located at the junction of Jiangsu and Anhui, in the northern subtropical middle tropical transition area, with abundant heat, abundant rainfall and long frost free period. The annual average temperature is 16 ℃, the annual average precipitation is 1113mm, and the frost free period is about 220 days. There are four distinct seasons in the year, with early warming in spring, fast warming and high temperature in summer.

Yangjiang town is a typical water network polder area, with three water systems of Shuiyangjiang River, Guanxi River and Hengxi river. Yangjiang River, a branch of the Yangtze River, passes through the territory. It is adjacent to Shijiu Lake in the East and Gucheng Lake in the south.

Historical evolution

Yangjiang town belongs to Danyang Lake in ancient times, with abundant natural resources and outstanding people. During the period of the Three Kingdoms, Zhou Yu, the great general of the eastern Wu Dynasty, once practiced the Navy here. In the second year of chiwu (A.D. 239), Sun Quan, the great emperor of Wu, built the Sanyuan hall in memory of Zhou Yu, the governor of the capital. Li Bai, a poet of Tang Dynasty, once sailed on Danyang Lake for many times. Around 755 ad, he wrote an immortal poem about visiting Danyang Lake in Gaochun.

In the fifth year of Zhenghe (1115) of Song Dynasty, the ancestors built a beautiful and rich Yongfeng polder in this area, which described the beautiful scene of "white deer's trace". Among the eight ancient Gaochun scenic spots, "Danyang Autumn Moon", "guanxi night park" and "Longtan spring rise" all come from Yangjiang town.

In the 1960s, "the fragrance of lotus in thirty miles" came to the screen and became famous all over the country. "Yinghu Taoyuan" is another scenic spot developed by Yangjiang town with natural scenery, which integrates sightseeing, fishing, recreation and vacation.

In December 1999, danhu Township, Shishu Township and Cangxi town were abolished and Yangjiang town was merged.

The water and land transportation of Yangjiang town is convenient. The Shuiyangjiang bridge connects Jiangsu and Anhui. The southern and Western trunk lines run through the whole territory. Yanchi bridge and gejiadu bridge connect Xuanzhou in the South and Wuhu and Maanshan in the West. It is only 50 kilometers away from Nanjing Lukou International Airport. The waterway directly connects the golden waterway of the Yangtze River and the water network of Taihu Lake and southern Jiangsu; s68 Liwu Expressway and S360 pass through the territory, laying the foundation for Yangjiang town to form a new water town with people flow, logistics and information flow.
