Baihe Town is located in the suburb of Fangxian County, 9 kilometers away from the county. It is located in the mountainous subtropical region between 110 ° 75 ′ - 110 ° 87 ′ E and 32 ° 03 ′ - 32 ° 30 ′ n. It is adjacent to Qingfeng in the East, Hongta in the west, Danjiang in the north and Chengguan across the river in the south. It is a part of the small basin around Fangxian County. It is 41.5 km long from north to south, 35 km wide from east to west, with a territory area of 228.79 square kilometers It has a high altitude of 1582 meters, the lowest altitude of 370 meters, an average altitude of 530 meters, an average annual rainfall of 821.9 meters, and an average temperature of 18.3 degrees Celsius. It is a subtropical monsoon climate with a frost free period of 220 days.
Basic information
Baihe Town is 9 kilometers away from the county seat, adjacent to Qingfeng in the East, red tower in the west, Wudang Mountain in the north, Malan River in the south, and Chengguan across the river. The whole town covers an area of 229 square kilometers and governs 14 villages, 80 villager groups and 32976 people (2017). Although there is no provincial road or national road, it is rich in natural resources. At present, there are 31195 mu of cultivated land, including 10969 mu of paddy field, 86% of forest coverage and 260000 mu of woodland
Historical evolution
In 1945 (the thirty third year of the Republic of China), it was under the jurisdiction of the first district, yangbao Township, Shuting Township in 1947, and Heping Township in 1948. In 1949 (the thirty eighth year of the Republic of China), Fangxian County was liberated, and it was under the jurisdiction of Lianghe district. Later, it was divided into baishuo township of Changsheng district. In 1975, the district was withdrawn in the spring, and the commune was changed into baiwo people's commune. In 1984, the commune was withdrawn and incorporated into Hongta District. It has four small townships under its jurisdiction, namely Shi Yan Township, baiwo Township, Sanshu Township and Shuanghe Township were removed from Hongta District to build baiwo Township in September 1987. The original four small townships were changed into four offices. Lishi and Yanhe of Tongsheng Township were under the jurisdiction of baiwo township. In 1993, the office was renamed as management area. In 2001, Tongsheng township was removed, and donglang and Huangyan were changed into "baiwo township", in 2006, "Baihe township", and in 2009, "Baihe township" The town of crane is named after the group of egrets, which means taking off

Baihe Town governs 14 administrative villages, including Sunjiawan, shiyanhe, changlongyan, Jiejiawan, ChiYan village, fuxiyan, baiheguan, Fujia village, Yanhe, boxwood, donglang, Shuanghe, sankeshu and leijiachong, with 80 villager groups and 32976 people (2017).
Regional characteristics
Baihe Town has a strong cultural heritage and cultural legends, "you yangbiling ancient human cultural sites", is a famous "Gongmi town". In the accumulation layer of yangbiling, there are not only cultural relics of "Yangshao culture", "Qujialing culture" and "Longshan culture" of Neolithic age, but also cultural relics of surrounding periods. On the left side of the ridge is the Baojia River, and on the right side is the Gaoshi river. The two rivers flow from north to South and converge in front of the ridge and join the Malan River.
