Sijikeng reservoir is located in Tuanxi village, Sanhe Town, Yanling County, 15km away from the county seat. The drainage basin of sijikeng reservoir is hemeshui, a tributary of Jishui. The reservoir is a small (II) type reservoir mainly for irrigation, with a controlled rainfall area of 0.5km, an average annual rainfall of 1580mm and an average annual runoff depth of 960mm. The dam of the reservoir was built in October 1953 and completed in December 1954. The check flood level of the reservoir is 220.62m (once in 500 years), the normal water level is 219.6m, the dead water level is 207.10m, the total storage capacity is 500000 m, and the normal storage capacity is 400000 M. The designed irrigation area of the reservoir is 800 mu. After the completion of the reservoir, the effective irrigation area is 800 Mu and the maximum actual irrigation area is 800 mu. the main dam is a homogeneous earth dam with crest elevation of 222.6m, maximum dam height of 16m, crest axis length of 36m and crest width of 3.5m. The upstream dam slope ratio is 1:2.5, and the downstream dam slope ratio is 1:2. The foot of downstream dam slope is left branch canal. The discharge culvert of the main dam is arranged on the left bank of the dam, with a round Carboniferous culvert and a horizontal pipe to control the discharge, with an aperture of 0.15m and an inlet elevation of 207.1m. In 1988, the city and county invested 50000 yuan to complete the reinforcement of the reservoir, and newly built the anti-seepage and retaining walls on the inner slope of the main dam.
