Gonghe Township

Gonghe township is located in the south of Dahua Yao Autonomous County, at the intersection of Nanning, Hechi and Baise, with a total population of 20000 to 10000. It governs 9 administrative villages and 194 villager groups, covering an area of 114 square kilometers. Xianglin street, where the township government is located, is 40 kilometers away from the county seat, 60 kilometers away from Shuinan expressway, and 80 kilometers away from Pingguo Aluminum City. It is a shortcut from Diandu to aluminum city.

Gonghe township is a huge "underground reservoir" with outstanding people, fertile land, mild climate, abundant groundwater resources and crisscross underground rivers. The forest coverage rate is up to 45%. Zhongliang village is known as "the hometown of bamboo", and bamboo products are sold well inside and outside the area. The agricultural ecological model of "biogas cultivation forest and fruit" is in the forefront of the county. Since the reform and opening up, with the rapid development of economy, 85% of the agricultural products have lived in steel concrete buildings, and the per capita net income of farmers is 1564 yuan. The mineral resources in the territory include calcite, antimony, manganese, quartz and so on. According to the exploration of experts, the reserves of calcite reach 20 million tons, with a daily output of 200 tons. Guilin Xing'an Yinxing ore powder factory has settled in Gonghe. Local products include bamboo rat, underground catfish, pheasant, etc. At present, there is a township level library in Gonghe Township, with a collection of 3800 books and a cable TV penetration rate of 36%. Gonghe township is one of the old revolutionary base areas determined by the autonomous region and Hechi City. As early as 1946, the Party committee at a higher level sent Comrade Yao mianguang to Nama to guide the work and develop the guerrillas. In 1948, the Party committee at a higher level sent Comrade Liao Yuan to Gonghe township to organize activities and set up the Liangkai Party branch and the peasant red guards. On February 30, 1948, Liao Yuan and his self defense forces annihilated the Communist suppression commander of Nama County, Jingjing Zhao, near Gonghe Yanwei.
