Tieshan Township
Tishan Township, belonging to the eggplant River area of Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southeast of the eggplant River area, and is connected to Fuyuan Township, Mishan. It is adjacent to Jidong County, Jidong Town, and the west is at the junction of the fifth township of Boli County, and the North is bordering on the Central River. In 2018, the area was 270 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 12950.
In 1948, Lianhe village was established, belonging to Qitaihe District of Boli County. In 1956, it belongs to Qiezihe township. In February 1984, Qiezihe district was established, and the Preparatory Office of Tieshan commune was incorporated into Dongfeng commune. In March 1985, Tieshan township was set up, with jurisdiction over 14 villages. In 2001, 14 villages were merged into 9. As of October 2019, Tieshan township has 9 administrative villages and 3 living quarters.
In 2018, Tieshan township has 12 industrial enterprises and 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1948, Lianhe village was established, belonging to Qitaihe District of Boli County.
In 1956, it belongs to Qiezihe township.
In 1958, the Township Reform commune was under the jurisdiction of Tieshan, Xinfa, Hongxing and Sixin.
In May 1982, five natural villages of Dongfeng commune, including Sixin and Tiexi, set up Tieshan preparatory office.
In February 1984, Qiezihe district was established, and the Preparatory Office of Tieshan commune was incorporated into Dongfeng commune.
In March 1985, Tieshan township was set up, with jurisdiction over 14 villages.
In 2001, 14 villages were merged into 9.

Tieshan township has a temperate monsoon climate. In winter, it is cold and dry under the control of polar continental air mass. In summer, it is affected by subtropical marine air mass, with concentrated precipitation and warm and humid temperature. In spring and autumn, due to the alternation of winter and summer monsoon, the climate is changeable, with strong wind and less precipitation in spring, which is prone to drought. In autumn, it cools sharply, often with frost. The frost free period is 120 days on average, with the shortest 110 days The annual average sunshine hours are 2659 hours and the annual average precipitation is 600 mm.

There are qiezi River and its tributary Naiquan River in Tieshan township. Four new reservoirs are formed in the upper reaches of qiezi River, and Shilongshan reservoir is formed in the upper reaches of Naiquan river. The two reservoirs play an important role in flood control and irrigation.
