Qingfeng township is under the jurisdiction of Youyi county. Located in the eastern part of the county, Southeast and Baoqing county to Qixinghe boundary, for farm township. It's the fifth branch of friendship farm. The township government is 7.5km away from the county seat.

Historical evolution

It's the fifth branch of friendship farm. The township government is 7.5km away from the county seat. The former friendship farm was built in 1955. In 1960, friendship farm set up county and Qingfeng township. In 1969, it was renamed the Fifth Battalion of the 18th regiment of the production and Construction Corps. In 1976, the five branches of friendship farm were restored. In August 1985, Qingfeng township was rebuilt. The total area of the township is 126.7 square kilometers, with a cultivated area of 142000 mu. With the development of more than 50 years, Qingfeng township has become a demonstration area of modern agriculture in Youyi county.

administrative division

The township has jurisdiction over 10 villages including Huaxing, Qingfeng, Fuyu, Dongfa, Xinxin, Yongxing, rufa, Yongyu, tangjiadian and Shengli. At the end of 2007, the total population of the township was 7510, of which Korean, Manchu and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 4.5%. The township government is located in Qingfeng Village. The company has Luhua village rice industry and so on.

Qingfeng township has a mid temperate continental climate, with an average annual temperature of 2.5 degrees Celsius, an average annual rainfall of 500mm, an average sunshine hours of 2730 hours, and a frost free period of 120-130 days.
