Seven Star Town

Qixing Town is located in the east of XUNDIAN Hui and Yi Autonomous County. During the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, Liu Cong, a county resident, built a qikong stone bridge across the Niulan river. The town got its name from the bridge. Qixing Town is adjacent to Malong County in the East, Rende town and Hekou town in the south, West and North, respectively. The town government is 7 km away from the county. The town has 7 villager committees, 64 natural villages and 70 villager groups. Han, Hui, Yi, Miao and other nationalities live there.

By the end of 2008, the total population of the town was 4962 households and 18973 people (including 4503 agricultural households and 18356 people, 1108 Hui people, 807 Miao people and 10 Yi people). As of 2017, there were 19857 permanent residents (2017). Xunma highway runs through the whole town and leads to all villages with convenient transportation. There are 6 PHS stations and 9 mobile communication towers in the town. The traffic and communication network extending in all directions has laid a good foundation for the opening up and economic development of the town.

Qixing has excellent water conservancy conditions, and the whole area belongs to the Yangtze River system. The main river is fenglongwan reservoir, which originates from Malong river. The water system flows northward and flows into Niulan river through the river, preserved meat and Qixing, and flows into Jinsha River through jiangge. Wulongtan reservoir is the main source of drinking water and irrigation for people and livestock in the town. in the southeast of Qixing Town, there is fenglongwan scenic spot with beautiful scenery. The scenic spot is located on the riverside of the Three Gorges, with an area of 957 square kilometers.
