Fuyuan township is under the jurisdiction of Wangkui county. It is located in the southwest of the county, on the East Bank of Tongken River, adjacent to Tongjiang town in the South and Qinggang County in the West. The township government is 20 kilometers away from the county. After Wangkui was established, it was under the jurisdiction of tongjiangbu district. In the late period of the Japanese occupation, Northeast China was under the jurisdiction of TENGWEI village.

history

After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was put under the jurisdiction of Tongjiang district. In April 1951, it was transferred to the Fifth District. In April 1956, touduan township was set up. In September 1958, it was renamed Quanfeng people's commune. In November of the same year, it was incorporated into Xianfeng commune. In March 1961, a part of the production brigade was set up from Xianfeng commune and Fuyuan commune was added. In April 1984, it was changed into Fuyuan township.

Topographical jurisdiction

Fuyuan township is high in the East and low in the west, mostly Pingchuan. The total area of the township is 124.5 square kilometers, with 100000 mu of arable land, mainly for grain crops. The township has jurisdiction over eight villages, including Erduan, Erbei, touduan, Baisan, erningxi, ernianbei, ernanxi and ernandong. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 19000, of which Manchu and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 1.4%. The township government is located in Erduan village.
