Sandao town

Sandao Town, subordinate to Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County of Hainan Province, is located in the south of Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County. It borders Haitangwan town of Sanya City in the southeast, Nanlin Township in the southwest, Xinzheng town in the northwest and Jiamao town in the northeast. The administrative area of the town is 99.96 square kilometers.

In 1958, it merged with Nanlin Township and Sandao farm to form paradise commune. In December 1959, Sandao commune was established. In 1983, it was renamed Sandao district office. In 1987, Sandao Town People's government was set up. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in three towns was 19259. As of June 2020, Sandao town has jurisdiction over one community and four administrative villages.

In 2011, Sandao town's total financial revenue was 41 million yuan, an increase of 28.5 million yuan over the previous year's 12.5 million yuan. The per capita net income of farmers was 4381 yuan, an increase of 797.1 yuan over the previous year. By the end of 2018, Sandao town had 11 supermarkets or comprehensive stores with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 1935, Baoting was established as a county under the jurisdiction of Chinan township (including Nanlin).

In 1948, Baoting was liberated and Chifeng township was founded.

In 1950, also known as Chinan Township, under the jurisdiction of the foot of the river area.

In 1958, it merged with Nanlin Township and Sandao farm to form paradise commune.

In December 1959, Sandao commune was established.
