In history, Beixing town was an agricultural economic zone. The main crop was corn. Other crops included beans, sorghum, grains, sesame, castor, sunflower, etc. in recent years, by adjusting the internal structure of agriculture, the structure of seed and breeding industry in Beixing town has changed greatly. At the beginning of 2002, the town Party committee and government put forward the development strategy of "planting land, creating brand, turning sand marshes green, increasing benefits, raising cattle and geese to promote circulation". The planting industry has changed the situation that corn dominates the whole country, and has developed to multiple cropping of vegetables and cash crops after wheat. Some famous brands and products such as dapaozi Yuancong, Beixing Doudou, Mingren garlic and dapaozi corn have emerged, and the proportion of grain economy in the planting industry has reached 4:6. In terms of breeding industry, under the guidance of vigorously developing the "three cattle" industrial policy, the number of fattening cattle, basic cows and cows in Beixing town has increased greatly. By the end of June 2003, 2100 fattening cattle, 2000 basic cows and 537 cows have been put on the market. At present, three modern milk stations have been built in the whole town. In 2003, in response to the needs of China's accession to the WTO and the shift of the focus of agricultural internal structure adjustment, the Party committee of Beixing town readjusted and established the development strategy of "holding the banner of industrial adjustment, taking the road of combining planting and breeding, and comprehensively building a platform for meat, eggs and milk". The town plans to plant 10000 mu of red pepper, 1100 mu of Yuancong and other vegetables, 500 mu of garlic, 5000 mu of multiple cropping of wheat stubble, and 5000 mu of grass into the field, By the end of the year, there will be 2000 big tail sheep, 10000 pigs, 10000 chickens, 163000 geese, 5000 fattening cattle, 3000 basic cows and 1500 cows in stock. We will strive to make the proportion of breeding income in the total income reach 40%, and the annual per capita income of farmers reach 2221 yuan.
