Luhe Township
Luhe Township, subordinate to Longjiang County of Qiqihar City, is located in the northwest of Longjiang County, adjacent to Longjiang Town in the East, Longxing town in the south, and Nianzi mountain area in the northwest; Binzhou railway and Nianbei highway run through Luhe Township, and there are train and bus stations. The township covers an area of 23.66 square kilometers.
The name of Luhe Township comes from the name of Luhe village. Luhe township is under the jurisdiction of the third and second districts of Longjiang County. In 1984, it was changed into Luhe township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Luhe township was 24378. In 2019, Luhe village governs 7 administrative villages, and the township government is located in Luhe village.
Grain crops in Luhe township are mainly corn and rice. In 2018, Luhe township has 28 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
The name of Luhe Township comes from the name of Luhe village.
In the period of the Republic of China, Luhe township was under the jurisdiction of the third and second districts of Longjiang County; in 1931, it was under the jurisdiction of nianzishanbao; in 1938, it was under the jurisdiction of Nianzishan village; in 1946, it was under the jurisdiction of Nianzishan district; in 1948, it was under the jurisdiction of the fourth district.
In 1953, the fourth district was divided into Nianzishan town and Luhe District.
In March 1956, the village was divided into townships and Longde township was set up.
In June 1958, it merged with Shuanghe, Sandaogou and Toudaogou townships and became prosperous township.
In September 1958, it merged with Heshan Township and established the prosperous people's commune.
In 1960, Heshan, East taipingchuan, West taipingchuan and Yixin were put under the jurisdiction of Heshan commune.
In 1961, the commune was transferred from the former wangmenggou to the Luhe production brigade.
In June 1977, it was renamed Luhe commune.
In 1984, it was changed to Luhe township.
