Changlong township is located in the northern mountainous area of Lianjiang county, Fuzhou City. The township is located in Jianzhuang, with an altitude of 380 meters, ranking the highest in the county, 24 kilometers away from the county. Jiaxianli, a famous town in Tang Dynasty, was changed to jiaxianshangli after Song Dynasty. At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to the Fifth District, with Xiayang, Suyuan and Hongtang townships. In 1935, Baojia set up the foreign joint insurance, which belongs to the second regional department. It was changed to Xiayang Township in 1940. After June 1944, it merged with Zhepu Township and became Puyang township. After the founding of new China, it belongs to the second district (later changed to Pukou District).
