Cultural Street
Wenhua street is located in the south of Nangang District, adjacent to Wenming street and Gexin street in the East, Wenzheng street in the west, Heping Road and Xiangfang District in the south, and Huayuan street in the North bounded by Majiagou River, covering an area of 2.4 square kilometers. The sub district office is located at 26 Wenlan street. In 1990, there were 21 residents' committees and 400 residents' groups.
Historical evolution
Wenhua street was built in October 1946 and belongs to Majia district. In September 1949, Nangang District and Majia district were merged and assigned to Nangang District. In April 1967, it was renamed "Dongfeng commune", and cultural street was restored in 1973. it is divided into five communities: Wenhe community, Wenlin community, Wenjing community, Wenqiao community and Wenlan community.
Economic situation
The development of Jieban industry was relatively late. In 1973, the general industrial factory was established, with 10 factories including hardware, electrical appliances, barrel making and building materials. The annual output value was 111000 yuan and the profit was 17000 yuan. In 1979, the cultural labor service company was established, with four factories including maintenance team, wooden ware and cold drink shop. In 1990, the total industrial output value of Wenhua Street reached 4.05 million yuan, with a profit of 202 thousand yuan. Shoutao produced by Wenhua candy and food factory has entered the market outside the province. there are Harbin power plant and Harbin tramcar company. In the late 1920s, the Communist Party of China established party organizations in the power plant and tramcar company. In the early 1930s, there was a famous Anti Japanese strike by tramcar workers. At the beginning of Harbin liberation in 1946, Liu YingYuan and other advanced workers made great contributions to the restoration of Harbin power supply. The power plant has become one of the heating and power supply bases in Harbin. The main units stationed in the street are 15 provincial organs, including the Provincial Department of justice, Provincial Higher People's court and Provincial Department of water resources.
