Xiangshui Town, subordinate to Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County of Hainan Province, is located in the middle of Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County. It is adjacent to Jiamao town and Nanmao farm in the East, Xinzheng town in the south, maogan town in the southwest, Changhao township of Wuzhishan City in the northwest and nanshang Township of Wuzhishan City in the northeast. The administrative area of Xiangshui town is 251.28 square kilometers.

In 1961, Xiangshui established a commune. In 1983, the district office was established. In 1987, the towns were named after Xiangshui. In 2002, Maoan town was merged into Xiangshui town.
