Xinxing Township

Luding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Located in the southwest of the county, 58 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 594 square kilometers and has a population of 5000. It has jurisdiction over Heping, Xinxing and baozi village committees.

Xinxing township was established in 1940; Moxi commune was incorporated in 1958; Xinxing commune was established in 1962; and Xinxing township was established in 1984.

economic development

Agriculture mainly produces corn, potato, wheat and beans. Potato production ranked first in the county, the county's main forest distribution area. Xinxing Township actively promotes agricultural technology and guides farmers to adjust the planting structure. The "four crops a year" high yield and high efficiency planting mode of Chinese cabbage was popularized in baozi village, and remarkable results were achieved. Up to now, 300 mu of high-quality and high-efficiency Chinese cabbage production base has been established, planting four seasons a year. In the first and fourth quarters, the average yield per mu reached 6000 kg, in the second and third quarters, the average yield per mu reached 4000 kg, and the annual output of Chinese cabbage reached 20000 kg per mu. In addition to supplying all counties in the prefecture, the Chinese cabbage is mainly sold to Chengdu, Chongqing and other big cities to supplement the off-season market. Based on the average selling price of 0.5 yuan per kilogram, the annual output value per mu is 10000 yuan, and the benefit is more than five times of that of grain crops (corn and potato). In addition to the cost of seed, fertilizer, plastic film, pesticide and other agricultural inputs, only Chinese cabbage can make the average income of farmers in baozi village 7500 yuan.
