Dagushan is located on the right bank of the estuary of Dayang River in Donggou county (now Donggang City), southwest of Dandong City, Liaoning Province, surrounded by Gushan town.

Dagushan scenic spot

From Dandong City or Donggang City, you can take a car to the foot of the mountain, and then climb along the stone path to visit its scenic spots. Dagushan is a famous scenic spot in Eastern Liaoning Province. It is steep and straight, standing alone on the shore of the Yellow Sea and winning the victory of seamounts. The ridge is serrated and the main peak is nearly 340 meters above sea level. Along the mountain road, the dense forest and huge trees cover the sky, and the wild grass and flowers cover the slope. The scenery is quiet and fascinating.

Ancient temple complex

There is a group of temple buildings on the hillside of Dagu Mountain, which are dedicated to the founders of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism and important gods, Buddhas and immortals, such as Confucius, Shiying nuns, jade emperor, dizang king and Yaoxian. They are a typical group of "three religions in one" buildings. The whole building covers an area of 5000 square meters and has 104 rooms, of which only a few were built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. The rest were built in the middle and late Qing Dynasty. This group of buildings, all of which are of brick and wood structure, with cornices and corners, painted pillars and carved beams, are very beautiful. They are one of the best preserved ancient temple buildings in Liaodong. Dagushan temple is built in accordance with the mountain situation, and it is very grand. The whole temple is divided into two parts: the lower temple and the upper temple, but the upper and lower parts are connected and integrated. Each part is composed of a small temple, and each small temple is a courtyard with main hall and auxiliary hall. This kind of layout is the typical layout of northern temple complex. The lower temple has two wings. On the left-wing central axis, there are front hall and empress Mary hall from front to back; on the right-wing central axis, there are Tianwang hall, dizang hall, Sakyamuni hall, God of wealth and Guandi hall from front to back. In addition to the main hall, there are East and West ten kings hall and Lu Zuting. The layout of the upper temple is scattered, with pagodas, sea viewing Pavilion and jade emperor hall from front to back. On the left side of the Jade Emperor hall is the medicine king hall, and on the front right side are the Dragon King Hall, the Luohan hall, and the Sanxiao Niangniang hall. You can have a panoramic view of the sea and land from the sea Pavilion. On the sea, the waves are undulating and the sails are scattered. On the land, the buildings are uneven, the streets are crisscross, and the fertile fields of pingchou are vividly visible. It can be said that the scenery is picturesque. After returning to Dandong from Dagushan, you can visit the Yalu River or take a boat to visit the Yalu River.

Dagushan ancient building complex is located in the southwest of Donggang City, Liaoning Province. It was built in the Tang Dynasty. It is a combination of natural landscape and cultural landscape. It is the largest ancient building community of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism in China. It is composed of Tianhou palace, dizang temple, more than ten palaces, halls, theatres, stone pagodas and sea viewing pavilions. Standing in the viewing Pavilion, you can have a panoramic view of the Yellow Sea and the deer island.
