Old town name

. The former Lianhua township is located in the northeast of Xintian County, 8 kilometers away from the county. It borders Sili Township, Guiyang County, Chenzhou City in the east-west and Southeast, Jinling town in the north, and Chengdong office in the West and southwest. The land area is 33.34 square kilometers, with a total cultivated area of 8186 mu, including 6600 mu of paddy field and 1586 mu of dry soil.

Evolution of organizational system

Lianhua township was established in May 1956 and then merged into the happy people's commune. In April 1984, the people's commune was abolished and Lianhua township was restored.

On November 20, 2015, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs (xiangminxingfa No. 54) approved to abolish the organizational system of Lianhua Township, merging the original four organizational villages of Lianhua Township, namely xinwuchang, shuangxiling, Gangshang and shemenkou, into Longquan Town, merging the original seven organizational villages of Lianhua Township, namely Nantang, wayaotou, Lantian, dayuanchong, Xiaoyuan, xiahu and Shanghu, into Jinling Town, and the new people's Government of Jinling town stationed in lianhuawei (former Lianhua town) The seat of the Township People's Government).
