Tuqiao town is located on the Bank of the beautiful Qinhuai River in the eastern suburb of Nanjing. It is one of the four ancient towns outside the gate of China in Nanjing. According to historical records, it was built in the Three Kingdoms period and later called Tuqiao town. It was changed into Tuqiao town in the Song Dynasty and is still in use today.

Tuqiao central block garden is said to be prince Liang Zhaoming's palace garden. The flowers and plants in the garden are beautiful, especially osmanthus. In autumn, the golden osmanthus is fragrant, so the garden gets its name. Tens of meters to the east of the garden is Zhaoming courtyard, which is the reading place of Prince Zhaoming. Wushuai pier: it is now an elliptical earth pier, with a diameter of 109m from east to west, 75m from north to south, 15.5m in height, 21.5m in slope length, and an area of 6500 square meters. Although the high pier has experienced more than 1800 years of wind and rain collapse, it still stands here. The legend of this pier is called Wushuai pier. It is said that wuchengwei was formerly known as "wuzhenwei". During the Three Kingdoms period, it was an important military training site chosen by Zhou Yu of the eastern Wu Dynasty. At that time, although it was surrounded by clouds and fog, with weeds and flowers all over the land, with rivers and streams rippling in the concave area and gentle breeze, it had the charm of soul grabbing. However, the terrain was uneven, with a large area of water.
