Shahe Town

Shahe Town is located in the south of Chaotian District, adjacent to Linxi township of Chaotian District in the East, Yangmu town of Chaotian District in the west, Jialing sub district office of Lizhou District in the South and Chaotian town of Chaotian District in the north. It is known as the "South Gate" of Chaotian district and enjoys the reputation of "hometown of flowers and fruits" and "hometown of tribute fish". The town covers an area of 144 square kilometers, with 11 villages (communities), 111 villager groups and 17000 people. The town is rich in resources, with proven high-quality limestone of over 100 million tons, and large reserves of sand gold, rock gold, coal and other minerals. There are more than 40000 mu of forest land, 27000 mu of pasture land, and nearly 50% of forest coverage. There are more than 300000 walnut trees, with an annual output of 600 tons of walnut.

On December 23, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Guangyuan City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in four counties (districts), including Qingchuan county (No. 26 [2019] of Sichuan Provincial People's Government): Puxiang Township and Yudong Township were abolished, and their administrative areas were put under the jurisdiction of Shahe Town, and the people's Government of Shahe Town was stationed at No. 21, Feixian street.

General situation

Shahe has superior location and convenient transportation. Shahe Town is located in the south of Chaotian District, adjacent to Linxi township of Chaotian District in the East, Yangmu town of Chaotian District in the west, Jialing sub district office of Lizhou District in the South and Chaotian town of Chaotian District in the north. It is about 12 kilometers away from Chaotian city and Guangyuan City. The transportation network of railway and highway is smooth. The xi'an-chengdu high-speed railway, Lanzhou Chongqing railway, Baoji Chengdu double track railway, national highway 108, Guangzhou Shaanxi Expressway, shazeng highway and Puyang east ring line pass through the territory. They are the necessary passage to go in and out of the sky and connect Chengdu and Chongqing. In the whole town, the rate of village to village highway is 100%, the rate of village to cement road is 8 km, the rate of group to highway is 100%, and the rate of household to highway is 80%. The transportation network connecting villages and groups is basically formed; the communication is developed, and the coverage rate of mobile communication network is 100%.

Shahe has beautiful ecology and rich resources. The forest coverage rate of the town is 57%, with the highest altitude of 1344 meters and the lowest altitude of 487 meters. The annual average temperature is 16 ℃ and the annual average rainfall is 1200 mm. Jialing River, Yudong River and Donggou River meet here. There are abundant natural resources such as geothermal energy, wind energy, sand and limestone. There are two national AAA tourist attractions, Cherry Valley and lingshang lotus pond. In 2006, the town's GDP reached 22 million yuan, the fiscal revenue (excluding special funds) reached 890000 yuan, the total grain output reached 2304 tons, and the per capita net income of farmers reached 1966 yuan.

Shahe industry is prosperous and has great potential. At present, there are 5 conch concrete and other industrial and mining enterprises. The agricultural characteristic industries mainly include walnut, small fruit, rattan pepper, traditional Chinese medicine planting, freshwater fish, livestock and poultry breeding, etc., with 15 large-scale agricultural parks.

Shahe has a long history and profound culture. The unique charm of Shu Road culture and folk culture, is expected to Yunyi, Feixianguan, Zhao dachunyuan, Zhao tombs and other historical sites, Li Bai, Censhen, Yang Shen, Li Tiaoyuan and other scholars through Shahe left many exquisite poems, folk dragon and lion dance, gongs, drums and suona and other folk culture widely spread.

Shahe, covering an area of 60.68 square kilometers, has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages and 51 villager groups in Nanhua, Yuejia, Qinling, Sanwan, Jinao, Tangjia, Taoyuan, Wangyun and Baihu.
